Benjamins' 2nd Year

My god!  How has it been 2 years?  But how has it only been 2 years?

I remember the day he was born.  Such an emotional morning, i cried all the way to the hospital, all during check in, when they were hooking my belly up to the FHR Monitor, and walking down to my OR.  Even though i could hear Benajmin's heart beat, i was still a fucking mess! My OB had to get Greg to come in while they administered my spinal block because i was crying hysterically and couldnt stop trembling long enough to get stabbed with a needle the size of my forearm.. (Oh look im crying now) I remember that process after my spinal block, til i heard Benjamin cry, feeling like an eternity. 

 September 3, 2010 at 8:39AM Benjamin Francis Novac was born weighing in at a whopping 9 pounds and measuring 21 inches.  Remember he was delivered 3 weeks early.   

I was crying pretty hysterically then too.  In the video we have of Benjamin's birth, you can hear my voice change after i hear him cry.  I swear to god it had to be over an hour before they got me sewed back up and wheeled into our recovery room, so i could hold him.  But, i only got hold him for about 30 minutes before the spinal block started wearing off and i began puking, for the next 6 hours straight.  

I had Peanut Butter Ice Cream the night before, so that was pretty awesome!

By the next morning, I was walking around, they took out my catheter and i was ready to get the fuck out of that hospital and take my living baby home!  But... my dr's had other plans. We got camped out for an extra 2 days.  But, Greg was awesome and brought me good food, and stayed with me!  The US Nationals at Indy were on TV that weekend, so we weren't bored!  We had some of the nurses and Dr's that worked on Parker come in and say hi and congratulate us.

And the rest is history.

My Little Snuggle Puppy,

You gave Daddy and I our second chance at parenthood together. You will never know how much that means to us.  You make life alot more exciting everyday!  You're friendly and kind to everyone.  You're so well behaved in public and when we're visiting other peoples houses.  I love that you give all the girls kisses and the boys high fives when I pick you up from daycare.  You love your teachers!  I love when you do Chinese Fire Drills in the Kitchen!
